The “Beyond 28 Days” (B28) victory cards are the technological evolution to Black History Month. In each set are 30 cards featuring different historic African-Canadians from across the country. Each comes with a general description of the profiled individual and a QR code on the back. When the QR code is scanned, it activates a private web page featuring nine questions and activities on that individual spanning various grade levels.
The questions on this private webpage appeal to students of all ages. These questions are framed in a way that will motivate students to further appreciate Black history while using technology and embracing art.
